In 2019 Ostankino Park – one of citizens’ favorite places to walk around – for the first time became a site of the Circle of Light Moscow International festival. LBL Communication group focused on a park decoration developed a new science concept named the Light Geometry. There were a lot of incredible light installations placed along walking paths and alleys as well as integrated into a park space.
Can the light change our perception of the world around us? Can it open a way to alternate dimensions? Can modern technologies coexist with nature in harmony? The Light Geometry answers on these and many other questions. As if it is an applied science all its fantastic experiments could be seen by everyone.
Every installation was integrated into a park landscape in such a way as not to contrast with it, but to complement or even expand our visual perception of the park. Thereby a completely new space arose at the junction of chaotic natural outlines and strict geometric shapes.
There were a lot of people wishing to explore a new space; for five days Ostankino Park was visited by a half a million festival goers. Besides walking through the park the guests enjoyed not only amazing decorations but also a detailed rout that allowed everyone to see everything and feel comfort even on narrow trails. The duration of the work of each installation was accurately planed depending on the amount of free space around the object and could be adjusted in case of a sharp increase in the number of visitors.
As a result, that unique synthesis of the capital's flora and lighting technologies was seen by a very large audience - from families with children of all ages to friendly youth companies. Everyone found the Light Geometry close to heart.
Several creative teams worked on the park space, they created their art projects according to uniqueness of the park. After approval of the concept, each installation was refined to fit perfectly into the space allotted for it.
